Dr. Stone to present State of the District at the September RISD Council Meeting
Don't miss the first Council meeting of the 2016-2017 school year on September 1, 2016, in the auditorium of the RISD Administration Building. The meeting begins with hospitality at 9 a.m., with the meeting called to order at 9:15. Dr. Stone will present the annual State of the District update. The meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome. The Council voting body consists of voting members of the Council board, local unit Council delegates, local unit presidents, campus principals and the superintendent.
Please make sure your unit has completed its Voting Privileges form and submitted it to Council Secretary, Shavon Moore, before the meeting.
Brentfield Elementary PTA, Canyon Creek Elementary PTA, James Bowie Elementary PTA, Merriman Park Elementary PTA, Mohawk Elementary PTA, Moss Haven Elementary PTA, Prairie Creek Elementary PTA, Prestonwood Elementary PTA, Spring Creek Elementary PTA, and White Rock Elementary PTA,
PTAs work in partnership with schools and communities to ensure children have the best possible learning environment.
Local, state and national PTAs advocate on behalf of children on matters of education, health and safety. Higher membership numbers indicate greater support for these initiatives. In fact, there are nearly 500,000 PTA members in Texas. Your membership counts, quite literally, and reflects that you indeed Back The Future.
